The cosmetic is the new cosmic. ends Rem Koolhaas postmodern classical on a space stretching out smoothening out all options for diagonality and sneak previews of the outside. Koolhaas brings us a Truman Show world informed by airports, shopping malls and the efficiency of late-capitalism. As always brilliant with words, Junkspace is an almost compulsive litany simultaneously with and against the low of architecture.

According from the Rem Koolhaas : Junkspace that I already cut it out some of that so, I agree with the beginning context above because nowadays the word have been develop technology more and more. Therefore every architecture can be come to Junkspace. According from the first that effect me thought ab(out the word that said Everything is nothing and Nothing is everything, so that absolutely related with the present, that architect try to used hi-technology to create the architecture but they don't know the architecture that they try to create or the architecture that people consume that could be come Junkspace in the world.

I = WE

According from the lecture, I will present you about the word that's very simple but, that is very deep meaning, very hard to understand that is "I = WE" so, first time that saw this word that make me confuse because of in my mind is contrast and make a question that How equivalent of I and WE, From the experience we learnt some grammar about this word that I is singular and WE is plural, How teacher teach me I=WE ?.

After I learnt something continue from the lecture that answer the question in my head, that is very easy meaning about how visualize of people see ourselves and how I see myself. It mean the way we see ourselves ,so that came from recognize what another people see. Likewise the meaning of I came from the way that I see myself is from the other people see me. That effect to make the people develop themselves because of the way we see ourselves that came from recognize what another people see is the same things kind of reflection of people as same as a mirror that rebound the fact of ourselves from other see.

MODERNITY VERSUS MODERNISM

Form the lecture and film ( Metropolis ),the both is about the modernity and modernism.In the film that i saw is set in a futuristic urban dystopia and examines a common science fiction theme of the day: the social crisis between workers and owners in capitalism. Therefore in the film is nearly by the modernity because of the in this film that shown about statistic/measurement, nation states, antroprometrics, standardization, science, assembly line and democracy/communism, so there are the keyword in the movie that show you how modernity. In different way the modernism keyword also opposite from the modernity there are transparency, priority/essence/truth, parity/equality, modularity, repetition/oder, perceived reality. According from the beginning , in term of my thinking so i think the modernism was die because of it is term objective but the modernity is subjective so it alive.

SIMULATION*

According in the Class from the lecture and the movie " Borat ", Also in the lecture I have learnt something about the simulate things in the present. Therefore nowadays people in the world are consume anythings that kinda simulate which is in the advertise of Kia motor ,so they need to represent their products (cars) by used a computer graphics or 3D rendering. Also that make me known in the present how people consume a fake one, and that not a real thing is call " hyperreal " , so linkage to a Borat film ; a scene of weather man are do the present of weather , and Borat come in to studio and he very confuse about the weather man do , so because the weather with a empty screen that not show anything on the screen , but in the television we have see a kind of graphic one that present the weather. Actually the things that I have learnt from the lecture and the Borat film that effect me realize somethings in the present that world is so very fast, and people turn to develop the technology that effect the people come near the future world ,so in that case the hyperreal shall coming in very important part of the world , and people turn to consume any simulate things (fake things).

THE END OF THE CLASSICAL, THE END OF DESIRE?

According form the last lecture, I have learnt something about how we actually perceive thing in reality. Therefore Peter Eisenman interesting in the topic "Architecture in the present is seen as a process of inventing an artificial past and a futureless present" Also for me it very confuse about that ,and make me ask myself "Why architect try to simulate the past but add some future? " Why ? ,so if it happening, how is the traditional? how is respect? because of in the present architect try to develop the way or anything to find the new process of thinking in their works ,but Actually is near form the pass or something that have create before such as the nature. The nature is the famous root of design process.In term of perspective that make me realize some quote that I heart form the lecture that is " Everything is Nothing " ,so now I accept that my teacher said. Why nowadays we try to back to the future?, Why many people struggle? Even though everything are here, Even though everything completed. Why? Why? Why? , How is the end of desire?

MANUFACTURED LANDSCAPES ll

From the last journal, continue from the Manufactured Landscape so that make me realize the things that the world never reverse, but forward very fast. Therefore in this journal it could be something about the non-Manufactured landscape ,also that make me thing about the nature. Nature is all plants, animals and things that exist in the universe that are not made by people,as you see in the picture on the top, so that is kind of big mountain and sky that human cannot make or create it, even the green plant too.



Anyway the topic of Manufactured landscape and Non-Manufactured landscape that is very contrastive even in term of meaning or perceptual ,so however what there are. In the real thing I think is not happening because of the everything is nothing and nothing is everything so, that is the way that we perceive the world and judge what's the nature(Non-Manufactured landscape). Somehow the thing that we perceive it just one perspective ,Actually in the real world there are many things many perspective. In the end, the things in this real world that you perceive are not everything in nature.

MANUFACTURED LANDSCAPES

Director Jennifer Baichwal followed Edward Burtynsky on a tour of China as he took large-scale photographs of industrial subjects. The film explores Burtynksy's still photography, contextualizing his photographs in the global cycles of energy, production, and waste, by cinematically inhabiting the subjects of his work with the aid of simple, short interviews, sparse narration by Burtynsky, and minimalist / industrial music. While the film clearly serves as a commentary on the impact of large scale industrialization, Burtynsky claims neither to criticize nor praise these developments, but to bring images to viewers in the hopes of opening their eyes to the realities of the contemporary world.



In term of my thinking, Nowadays in the word of industries many company grow up, so in this film show how the system organize in the factory and also in difference way the film have show more about effect in the world such as in the picture of industrial waste ,so that make me realize many things in the present that the world effected the nature. Moreover make me and you warning about the environmental problem such as global warming or etc. ,so we must to think about how to manage the waste of industrial and recycling system.At the end,I think there are a lot of message behind this media, to tell all of you about the end of the world.
